Escape to the Beach! Seascape Window Fundraiser for Karen’s SCCC Scholarship

Scholarship_Fundraiser_PosterOur upcoming fundraiser features Karen’s love of crafts. She handmade her children’s Halloween costumes, was an avid knitter, and enjoyed trying her hand at unique crafts all the time. In memory of Karen, we invite you to join us for our, “Escape to the Beach: Seascape Window Fundraiser.” Create your very own seascape window design and support South Coast Community Chorale’s Karen K. Miller Scholarship.

Artist Robyn Iarrobino from Blue Anchor Studio will walk you through the process at every step of the way. After choosing the design of your choice, you will use resin to combine sand, seashells and other nautical-themed items to create a seascape window pattern on an 11×14 frame.

Karen was a dedicated member of SCCC serving as secretary of the Board of Directors and on multiple committees, including the scholarship committee, before unexpectedly passing in May 2016. Because of Karen’s passion for education, SCCC will award a scholarship to a student pursuing a degree at an institution of higher education. SCCC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to spreading the joy of choral music to the greater South Coast community. Applicants for the scholarship must be a member or family member of SCCC.
